STORY OF A FISHERMAN
My name is Santinha, I live with my people in Irajá, on the Purus River, here in the Amazon. For a year now we have been receiving EMAF missionaries who teach the Bible in our Community. I receive these visits with joy, and it was during one of them that I gave my life to Christ.
I was happy, as always. My husband had caught some fish for our lunch, and I pepared them for frying, with macaxeira, a local root. Delicious!
Afterward the missionaries met with all the Community and taught about God, about the creation and the need for each one of us to give our lives totally to the Lord. At that moment, I gave my life to Christ. I felt such joy that I had never felt before.
