WHERE?
Communities of Maraã and Várzea Grande, on the Rio Purus, Região de Lábrea-AM.
WHAT FOR?
The Rio Purus communities suffer with lack of drinking water. The inhabitants drink river water daily and suffer from inumerous diseases. With the digging of semi-handmade wells we will be able to reduce this difficulty and offer the inhabitants and the missionaries better life and health conditions.
WHAT OUTREACH?
The wells will have water driven by pipes to a large reservoir tank and distributed to the homes of the Riverside folk. This would benefit the whole population of the two villages, Várzea Grande: 200 persons and Maraã: 100persons.
WHEN?
With resources at hand, we hope to finish the Project in November 2021.
TEAM
Contracted professionals and volunteers from the community.
WHAT DO WE HAVE?
We have a Project for installing a mission base in the two villages and the request of the people, who are totally without resources. We will have the support of a technician from Asas de Socorro Mission, in this enterprise.
WHAT DO WE NEED?
Well for Várzea Grande: R$20.000,00
Well for Maraã: R$ 20.000,00
